My hero from the past

Cantinflas

Fortino Mario Alfonso Moreno Reyes (August 12, 1911 – April 20, 1993) was a Mexican comedian and stage and film actor, known professionally as Cantinflas. He often portrayed impoverished campesinos. The character came to be associated with the national identity of Mexico, and allowed Moreno to establish a long, successful film career that included a foray into Hollywood. Charlie Chaplin once called him "the greatest comedian in the world", and Moreno has been referred to as the "Charlie Chaplin of Mexico". To audiences in the United States, he is best remembered as costarring with David Niven in Around the World in 80 Days (1956). He died in Mexico on April, 20 at the age of 83 and leaving a great artistic legacy to the Latin American culture.
Personal opinion:

He was an inspiration for all young actors that wanted to get involved in the show business industry and an example of doing what you love with passion until the end of your life.

Ozzie Guil

Oswaldo José Guillén Barrios (born January 20, 1964), well known as Ozzie Guillén (Spanish pronunciation: is a former shortstop in Major League Baseball and the current manager of the Chicago White Sox. He is the first Latin-born manager in the history of the game to have won a World Series. His career stretched from 1985 through 2000, playing for the White Sox (1985–97), Baltimore Orioles (1998), Atlanta Braves (1998 - 1999) and Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2000).[1] He batted left-handed and threw right-handed.
Guillén is a member of the select group of light-hitting, quick-handed shortstops that emerged from Venezuela.
In November, Guillén was voted the 2005 AL Manager of the Year by the Baseball Writers Association of America. In 2006, Guillén managed the American League All-Star Team. The AL won 3-2. On September 4, 2009, Guillén won his 500th game as manager of the Chicago White Sox as the White Sox defeated the Boston Red Sox by a score of 12-2.

Personal opinion:

He is another Latino that crossed the borders to fulfill his dreams and place our country in a position respecting the talent exportation.

Vin diesel

Vin Diesel (born Mark Sinclair Vincent; July 18, 1967) is an American actor, writer, director and producer. He became known in the early 2000s, appearing in several successful Hollywood films, including The Fast and the Furious and xXx. He founded the production companies One Race Films, Tigon Studios and Racetrack Records.
Vin Diesel was born in New York City, the son of Delora, a psychiatrist and astrologer. Diesel is biracial and has Italian and black ancestry. He has described himself as "definitely a person of color" and stated that he is "of ambiguous ethnicity - Italian and a lot of other stuff". Diesel has never met his biological father, and was raised by his African-American stepfather, Irving, an acting instructor and theatre manager. Diesel became an active film-maker in the early 1990s, first earning notice for the short film Multi-Facial, which was selected for screening at the 1995 Cannes Festival. Diesel has identified himself as a "multi-faceted" actor as a result of early difficulties finding roles due to his mixed heritage.
He has a twin brother named Paul, a younger brother named Tim, and a sister named Samantha.

Personal opinion:

Vin Diesel broke the racial borders and has accomplished his dreams without paying attention to his multiracial background. He’s an example of perseverance and passion that we all should pursue.

Don Francisco

Don Francisco (born Mario Luis Kreutzberger Blumenfeld on December 28, 1940 in Talca, Chile) is a Chilean television personality, and is now a popular television personality on the Univision network reaching Spanish-speaking viewers in the United States. He is best known for hosting the variety shows Sábado Gigante and Don Francisco Presenta.
"Don Francisco" was born to a Chilean Jewish family of German descent. As a youth, he traveled to New York to study to be a tailor, but he spent most of the time watching TV. Back in Chile, where TV was just beginning, “Don Francisco” started a TV show in 1962, and he named it Sábados Gigantes. In it, he adapted many of the formulas he had seen in American TV to the Chilean public. The show became an instant hit that has lasted over 40 years. In 1986, the show began to be produced in Miami, Florida, with the same formula used in Chile, with the slightly different name of Sábado Gigante. “Don Francisco” immediately became a household name among Latino families across the United States, and in the following six years Kreutzberger developed a three hour long variety show, including contests, comedy, interviews and a traveling camera section. The traveling camera, or Cámara Viajera , has taken “Don Francisco” to over 185 countries worldwide, many of them more than once.
Kreutzberger in his show has interviewed many celebrities, including Roberto Duran, Cristina Saralegui, Sussan Taunton, Charytin and many others. In addition, his show has launched the careers of famous entertainers, such as Sissi and numerous more and continuous to be a hit in all Latin America.

Personal opinion:

Don Francisco has put his energy and money investment to entertain a part of our culture that is sometimes forgotten for being in a foreign country. We must thank him for joining Latinos into one single family, no matter where we are.

My hero from the cartoon

Tom & Jerry

Tom and Jerry is a series of animated theatrical shorts created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer that centered on a never-ending rivalry between a housecat (Tom) and a mouse (Jerry) whose chases and battles often involved comic violence. Hanna and Barbera ultimately wrote and directed one hundred and fourteen Tom and Jerry cartoons at the MGM cartoon studio in Hollywood, California between 1940 and 1959, when the animation unit was closed. The original series is notable for having won the Academy Awards for Best Short Subject (Cartoons) seven times, tying it with Walt Disney's Silly Symphonies as the theatrical animated series with the most Oscars.
The short episodes are famous for some of the most violent gags ever devised in theatrical animation: Jerry slicing Tom in half, shutting his head in a window or a door, Tom using everything from axes, pistols, explosives, traps and poison to try to murder Jerry, Jerry stuffing Tom's tail in a waffle iron and a mangle, kicking him into a refrigerator, plugging his tail into an electric socket, pounding him with a mace, club or mallet, causing a tree or an electric pole to drive him into the ground, sticking matches into his feet and lighting them, and so on.

Personal opinion:

This cartoons are well known in many generations and join parents and children in conversation nowadays, they have survived wars, change of channel and radical editions and they are still in everybody’s home, that’s why they are my cartoon heroes.

My hero from the community

Mrs. Iria Apalmo

Mrs. Iria was born on february 15, 1974 in Maracaibo- Zulia state. Her primary school was Don Cecilio Acosta, she studied highschool in Monseñor Juan Hilario Bosset. She is the leader of my community because she has helped in many legal issues being our contact with the authorities. She also founded a market to fulfill the needs of our people.

Personal opinion:

She’s my community hero because she has fight for her family and moreover she fights for the wellbeing of her community.

My father

: Jose Escobar

He was born on November 26, 1964 in Marcaibo-Venezuela. He studied in the Lossada School. In his teen years he worked developing different functions in different companies and factories and he also was a salesperson on his own to make some extra money. Today he’s in charge of the inspection and supervision of public works for a construction company.

Opinion personal:

He’s my hero because he’s a hardworking person who fights everyday to obtain the money his family needs to live. His very honest and responsible.

Hi, there! My name’s Kelbys Escobar. I’m from Maracaibo, originally. I live in Maracaibo. I’m 19 years old and I study Public Accounting at URBE . My favorite subjects are Mathematics, Accounting and English. I'm In Level 4

I love music, playing basseball, surfing the net , studying English, see a movies, hangout with my friends, stay with my family. I hate smoking, getting up early on the weekend, violence, injustice...
